Day 61 ~ the borrowed belongings...

As I was searching on this lovely rainy day... its been pouring down rain since earlier this evening and i love it <3... for something to take a picture of... I stumbled across the perfect scene of "something borrowed" :)This is where we keep our books currently being read, on the corner of the coffee table. Obviously the top are library books, mine, that will be sitting there until I can renew them no more ;) the bottom book that looks like mine is borrowed from my mom and then Nate's book on the bottom borrowed from his friend! And to make it truly complet, which is the whole reason this scene caught my eye to begin with... that is actually where I keep that extra knitting needle, and allmy knitting needles are borrowed from my friend ... I use it to poke Steve when he is being so pesky and won't leave me alone... pesky kitten gets poked in the tail a lot! *evil grin*

Day 60 ~ Eat more chikin...

Tonight was our "free spicy chicken nuggets" reservation at Chick Fil A :)  Loved it!

My family came too.... my dad calls this the Chicken Cow! :)

Day 59 ~ I is so happy...

That you came for me mommy :)

Poor little Steve had his "procedure" done today :/ It was so heartbreaking... but he is being a little lovey thing since he is all loopy and out of it... when ever I reach to pet him he holds my hand and mushes his face in my hand. I <3 my buddy!

Day 57 ~ Raven's Sundays!

And the most epic dessert food ever!

We won too... :)

One of the sayings on the back of the oreos says "Lick the Competition"

And we did!

Day 56 ~ Fair day!!!!

Today was our community fair... I think I've only missed it once in like 12 years!  The parade goes right by the end of my family's street and the fair field is right behind the street!  It's my favorite day of the whole year and  I think the best part is that it sneaks up on me, so it's always really exciting!  On the Child's gift of lullabys CD, there is this song that is about going tyo the fair in the morning... every year on the day before my sister and I always sing "Tommorrow we'll go to the fair!!!" And the rest of the song for that matter :)

This is the most epic piece of candy I have ever been thrown during the parade!  I didn't even know they made yellow ones of these, but I love yellow so it totally made my day!

And then this is me and my sister in our annual picture :)

Last year, I thought I had lost my blue shirt... so I bought a new one and then as soon as I did I found my other one so I gave it to Suzanne... I was so excited that we both had one this year!
These are the pictures from previous years!

Day 55 ~ The new Mr. & Mrs :)

<3 Joe and Lauren Bathgate <3

My college roommate, Lauren, got married this evening!  It was a lovely ceremony at Swan Harbor Farm and the reception was a lot of fun!  I got to see my advisor from school who was also Lauren's advisor and our other roommate, Nicole, and her husband were also there!  Beautiful night!

This is all of us... Lauern and Joe, then Nate and myself on the left and Kenn and Nicole on the right :)

Now all four of us... Lauren, Nicole, myself and Giselle (our other roommate who now lives in North Carolina and her husband Dan is overseas!) are all married... so grown up!  Can't believe it's been three years since we all lived together!  Good memories and another great one made here tonight!

Day 54 ~ Kitties is issuing a formal request...

To be fed dinner now??

My family's cats :)  Taco and Puffies!  I come around the corner in the bathroom to see two out of the four best kitty faces in the whole wide world <3  You can tell they both want dinner when Puffer Fishes is in there too.... Taco just lives in that spot waiting, and waiting and waiting!

Day 53 ~ Last day of summer...

Can't believe how fast it all went by...bring on the pretty leaves!  And a beautiful moon to close out another season!

We won't see this exact moon for another 20 years!  It's a full moon, harvest red and on the exact day of the summer equinox!  This picture was actually taken just before sunset but taken any other way but like this, it didn't show the amazing harvest red color!  It makes me happy I got to see it and capture it!

This is what the sky actually looked like to me when I took the picture... but you can't exactly see the detail of the moon the way you can in the other... just decided to put them both up, one to portray the moon itself and one to portray the whole scene the way I saw it!

Day 52 ~ New stuff randomly placed :)

I've been waiting for the new Selena Gomez CD for weeks!  I love everything she's done so far!  This album doesn't seem as good as her first, but I've only had it for a night now so we'll see what songs grow on me in time!  This picture was taken in my car right after I got off work and went to Walmart to buy it!

Edit to Add:  The CD has redeemed itself with a few awesome songs :)

Today's theme was "something randomly placed"

These are all of my/mine and my sister's "must have" CD and DVD purchases within the last year or two!  We always go to Walmart and buy it and then open it in the car and takepictures and then I started randomly putting the package label that you need to rip off right on my dashboard!

Day 51 ~ Someone sleeping

Self explanatory! As I was in the kitchen after I got home from handbells, I was thinking "great I don't have a picture again and nothing is sleeping which is the theme"  Then it was like a smack on the forehead as I realized that when I came in the door... Nate was asleep on the couch :)

Day 50 ~ I spy something purple!!!

Today was the first Raven's Sunday at my mom's house... we go all out!  Purple serving plates, cups, purple sprinkles on the desserts etc... and of course the grape soda!

And the newest addition to our Raven's decore...

And then this happened...   That's what you get when you wear a Steelers jersey in Baltimore :)  Suzanne and I went to babysit, the same family from last night who supplied my "orange" picture and somehow, though we don't understand how, they live in Baltimore and claim to be Steelers fans...hmmmm, very interesting! When Joy came down the stairs later on wearing this... Suzanne flipped her upside down!

There will be battle!End of story!

Day 49 (Saturday September 18th) ~ Orange

I was babysitting tonight and was playing a memory game with Lucy.... today's theme was orange and I noticed there were a lot of pretty pairs with Orange in them so I put them in an o shape :)

Today also marks the first time that I was technically capable of putting my picture up on the day... but didn't!  It is now 12:20!  I didn't have a picture before I left for babysitting.  Nothing was good enough and I also had my family over for dinner <3 But Nate was working at Food Lion and after he got off at 11:00 we (me, Nate, and his friends) went to our local park to participate in the very first "international annual observe the moon night"  :)  We looked at the moon with his dad's telescope and then also found Jupiter, which I was excited aboutand we were able to see 5 of its moons too!  I got pretty cold while we were standing there so when we got home I needed to thaw, and then I realized it was after midnight so technically not Saturday the 18th anymore!  Ah well, it's all good.... good day!

Day 48 ~ Food is Essential to Life...

Therefore, Make it Good!

On the wall at Chick Fil A :)  I've been wanting to take a picture of this for ages, but never had my camera, because I love this quote... it's just too true which is why we eat here so often! We are Chick Fil A addicts... ok well at least I am ;)  I always get the classic #1 with Dr. Pepper and give the pickles to Nate!  Why I don't just order without pickles, I'll never really know, but that's just the way it works!  Nate just kind of follows along with my insantity!

And sometimes, makes one of his rare truly good jokes that I actually laugh at for real!

"Hey look baby it's a "Straw" Berry Milkshake"

"Get it? It's a Strawberry milkshake with strawberry stuck in the straw.......... "Straw" Berry Milkshake!"

He's as bad as my grandfather sometimes!!!!

Day 47 ~ "The kitchen is closed!"

That's what my family always used to say when the kitchen was all cleaned after dinner and put away for the night.... Well today's theme is cleaning supplies and so this is what I close my kitchen with..... I would have serious issues keeping my apartment any kind of clean without them because I'm addicted to them :)

Day 46 ~ Celebration of Life

A friend of mine had her aunt pass away just this past Saturday... I only met her once, but she lives in the neighborhood and meant a lot to my friend so I went to the viewing tonight. The place that was having it made such beautiful little memory things to put up around the room and I thought the most beautiful thing ever was this candle and since today's theme was celebration I thought it would suite very well!

Day 44 ~ I knew I missed this for a reason...

My handbells :)

I used to play handbells with a childhood friend at her church.  After several years I stopped playing for various reasons.  Well with a desperate need of something new to get into and the choir's need for new players... I joined with a new church.  I have known Jamie and Anna for many years... their mother taught me piano and Jamie now teaches my sister piano, I used to ice skate with Anna and we have kept in touch over the years even with lots of time of not seeing each other in between. Jamie directs the handbell choir at a church in my neighborhood.  We all got together last Friday to have a girls afternoon out and we were talking about bells and next thing I know I'm at practice and I could have played all night I felt so at home.  I knew somehwere deep down that I missed playing every now and then... and I think I've maybe found a place I belong and something I'm good at!  I started out the night playing one bell and before the night was over I was playing all of these in the picture.  Not quite up to what I was playing back in my early teens, but close enough for me to feel a thrill! For tonight I felt important, needed!  I haven't felt that in a while <3

Day 43 ~ Rainy Lego Sunday

Today it was a stay inside rainy day!  The sun didn't peek a bit! So we watched a lot of movies and tv, and worked a lot on our Legos :)  This is what we're working on now and we finally made it to the second book!

This is the pregress on that big dome right in the middle.... its more fun than I thought it was going to be.... lots of white pieces lol

Day 42 ~ Being adventurous!

Alright so as annoying as it is that this picture refused  to rotate, I had to use it because this is what I did today!  Nate's parent's and sister go on thesewalks called Volks marches.  They originated in Germany and then came to the U.S.  They are trails through essentially nice parts of different towns that volunteer to host them throughout Maryland!  I went on my very first march today and I got my "new walker" books (they are kind of like passports and you get a stamp for every one you complete) and it was a 5K one through Montpelier in Laurel, MD.  It was really fun and I felt active and adventerous!  Nate had to work, but I hope he'll go on the next one on New Years day with me :)  Today's march was also to commemorate 9-11 which is what the badge is for!

Day 41 ~ dusk clouds

I love the clouds when it's just getting dark  :)  After stopping at the Verizon store to get Nate's phone fixed, I thought we should stop at the Dollar Tree where everything is a dollar so we could spend a few buck on random things!  This was the sky when we came out! I thought it was especially pretty with the way the light is hitting the tree! Today was a good day <3 Shopping and lunch with Anna and Jamie, and then random errands with Nate all wrapped up by watching the mid season finale of Eureka :)

Day 40 ~Everybody outside!

Today was such a gorgeous day!  It started out pretty chilly but sunny... and the wind :)  I love the wind!  It got warmer throughout the day but it stayed nice and cool and windy!  So we (me and the three kids I watched today) spent a lot of time outside!

The first picture I thought just captured the sunlight of the day nicely!

The kitty is Cinnamon :)  I call her Cinnamini or Cinnaminion... the dog was chasing her and this was her "get him away from me" stop and stare!

And the tree branches looked especially beautiful and even sounded so in the wind :)

Day 39 ~ Mogus!!!!!

My mom got me this :)  *Is Happy*  I have some crazy addiction to mushrooms (mogu is how you say it in Chinese, learned that off a fortune cookie years ago lol) even though I hated them growing up, and hard boiled eggs, which is originally what she got it for was so that I could slice hard boiled eggs! So I went on a mogu slicing frenzy today and sliced every one in the package ^-^ It was a very catharctic experience if I might say so myself!

Day 38 ~ Learn somethin' new!

So I've been practicing my knitting with the same green or yellow yarn since I learned how!  After making a pretty big mistake on a row... I knew that it was about time to go looking for my own color. But what I didn't know is that having a fresh color that I picked out myself would make this whole 8 rows over and over thing go a lot faster and easier :)

Also, you can print stuff out on note book paper.... and it was awesome! This is the pattern I'm working on!

Day 36 ~ Show and tell :)

These are Nate's mom's Spider Lillies :)  She took us out to show them to us tonight after dinner.... just that one skinny little stalk of them!  There used to be two, but only one bulb made it through to finally grow! I thought they were probably some of the coolest flowers I've ever seen!

Day 35 ~ From the Inside looking Out

This is what it feels like to be me sometimes.... literally if I don't have my glasses on, and figuratively... a little tough to deal with, but kinda pretty if you give it a chance

P.s The reason for this picture initially was that today's theme was your car, so I decided to take a picture from inside my car. Then when I looked at it on the camera, my first thought was "That's how it feels to be me sometimes" It was an odd moment.

Day 34 ~ Smile on my friends...

Teresa is the newest little one that I babysit on a few occasions... she was so fussy today :(  During her afternoon nap I discovered this wonderful toy that I was so easily ammused by!  I was trying to think of something creative to write to take a picture of, but this is all that came out!  And I thought it was pretty appropriate since my work place (today's theme) really needed a smile today! :)  So don't forget to smile, you look prettier when you do!

Day 33 ~ Refridgerate after opening...

Which one of these items does not belong?? :)  Today's theme was the inside of your refridgerator.  Since the inside of ours is truly boring right now... would have been cooler two weeks ago when it was the most barren empty fridge EVER.... but anyhow, Steve likes to try to get in the fridge every time I open it!  He took advantage of the fact that I wanted to go get my camera and got all the way in this time! What a wierdo!

Day 32 ~ Random Movie & Junk Food night :)

Nate and I sometimes take these random junk food runs to Food Lion... and since we couldn't decide on any movie that we wanted to see in the theater, we went to Redbox. And of course had to add popcorn to our random shopping trip since we would have gotten it at the theater!  We just finished watching Bounty Hunter, it was as good as I hoped it would be.  And we also have Legion, but I'm thinking if I remember correctly I might be a little chicken of it... just saw that Dennis Quaid is in it though and I heart him (always reminded me of my daddy) so it's all good!
