Day 152 ~ All Together Now

Tonight was a wonderful night!  My college roommate Nicole, had all of us roommates and our now husbands over to her house for dinner!  We haven't all been together at the same place since Christmas 2006!  We ate dinner, talked and cought up, and then played Apples to Apples! The last time we were all together, I think I was the only one who was engaged yet... I can't believe how everything has changed in 4 years and as Giselle's husband Dan pointed out, it was a short 4 years because its seems like just yesterday we were all together at school!

Day 151 ~ Roses to help ease the thorns....

So I didn't update my pictures yesterday.  I've been pretty relax about when I post them as long as I try to get the post "titled" on the actual day and the picture actually really did come from that day.  Well yesterday attacked me big time.  I had a cold starting this past Friday... it wasn't all that bad, just watery eyes and stuffy nose but I could mostly breathe.  Yesterday, I couldn't breathe through my nose at all which anyone who knows me knows that I hate more than anything.  Then, around noon I got up from doing something at the computer and noticed my back hurt.I didn't really think anything of it until the evening when I could barely straighten or walk easily without being in pain.  It got worse thoughout the night and I was just having a miserable time of it.  So Nate went out to get more dayquil and tissues, and brought me home these :)

The vase their in is really a serving pitcher from a town in Washington state where Nate's extended family lives... it was his mom's present for me for Christmas :)

Day 150 ~ 17? or 7?

Today was David's birthday, so before Lyndsay came over for ourweekly Stargate Atlantis and knitting, Nate and I went over for Chinese food and cake. David was his typical self for the camera :)

Day 149 ~ It's tiring...

Day 146 ~ Christmas Eve!

This is me, Suzanne, Anna, and Jamie after our Christmas Eve service! Everyone did an amazing job singing, instrument playing, and with the Hand bells!  It was so exciting and so much fun!

And then when we got home, Steve decided to be a present of badness under the tree!

Day 145 ~ It's Christmas Eve Eve!

Thats two days til Christmas :)  And Christmas pedicure and present wrapping day for us!  So excited for Christmas Eve tomorrow :)

Day 144 ~ A New Passion... December 22nd, Wednesday!

After the space shuttle Discovery attempt for us back in November... my new passion is the space program :)  We are going back in February to try to see the next attempt for the last flight for Discovery and Today, I found on instant netflix this documentary series with all the episodes spanning over the life of the space program!  It's so exciting!  It covers everything from the first Mercury missions to the present shuttle program and I just got through the Gemini series!  I also... without shame... admit that I cry happy tears when something goes wrong and everything turns out ok!

Day 143 ~ Ramona is a Traitor Cat! December 21st, Tuesday!

Suzanne has been staying with us for the past week or so and Ramona decided she likes it there where she sleeps! Meany!

Day 142 ~ Our little Christmas tree :)

It was all by itself and lonely in secluded from the other trees because it wasn't perfect.... so we adopted it of course!

And these our this years addition to the ornament collection!

The Go Ravens Penguin, alos joined by the Grinch and Santa made out of light bulbs that we found at the fair this year... and the old antique ones down at the bottom that we found in Florida!

As I was parking at Walmart... It made me happy.... the neon purple Aloha :)  Made me feel warm and trpoical in the freezing cold!

Day 140 ~ Suzanne, Grandma, and Steve Burrito!

Today was our annual ladies brunch with the family... this year it was at my cousin Amy's new house!  My grandmother kept insisting someone could fit in the chair with so finally we made Suzanne prove it... lovely arent they? :)

The afterwards when we came back home, Stevie Steve was being bad so Suzanne made him into a Burrito... he did not think that was a very fun thing!

Then I guess he decided they could be buddies if she shared her new found perch!



Day 139 ~ Made brand new!... Friday December 17th

Nate's Christmas present last year was TarnX for his old coins he has collected, but he told me the wrong stuff for what he needed :/  But that didn't stop me from throwing every penny I had in there just now :)

Oh and this is where I put my Christmas cards this year.... no use in wasting space huh??



Day 138 ~ Well Hello Snow!

Someone who lives 45 minutes away from me texted me and said "it's snowing" and my first thought was yeah well maybe there but not here! I look out the window and HOLY HELLO SNOW!! Sticking on cars, the ground, the road and everything! So after we went out for a while, Suazanne, Kateri and I decided to be shut ins for the afternoon and take naps and watch Torchwood on Netflix!

Kateri loves the snow.... or "no" as she so adorably calls it!  She cried when I was too cold to stay out and she didn't want to go in!

Day 137 ~ New Knitting Needles

Say that 5 times fast  :)  Ok so my sister just proved it's not that hard to do! ;)

I spent some time in the wonderful craft store today and bought some new knitting needles!  I totally suck at knitting yet I find it fun so I keep on going on this ONE pattern that I keep taking out and re-starting!  I refuse to quit until its perfect, that's me, the perfectionist!  So I got bigger needles so that I can hopefully finish it loose like I think it oughtta be!  It is a scarf after all!  Here's hoping!

Day 136 ~ The most wonderful horrible dessert I have ever had in my whole life!

On one hand... it's wonderful because its the most amazing thing you ever could eat.  Then, on the other hand, its horrible because it's BAD for you and I could sit there and eat the entire thing, not even joking!  Veronica made this for Brad's birthday... it's brownie mix with cherry pie filling!  I think this calls for the label of Epic!!!  And she didn't even use a recipe, just guessed and put it all together :)  Definitely epic!

Day 135 ~ It was Windy!

I was babysitting and I kept looking out the window and staring at these pretty things blowing all over the place in the wind!

Day 133 ~ Philadelphia!

This is for Saturday, December 11th!  I took Nate to Philadelphia for the day for his Christmas present :)  He wanted to go to the Ben Franklin Institute... which half school, half really awesome science center.  We saw Harry Potter Deathly Hallows at their Imax, which was awesome because we hadn't seen it yet and their Imax is literally a dome, so half the movie it felt like you were watching it on the ceiling :)  Good movie too... I liked this one a lot!  Then we got a Philly Cheese steak and killed our remaining time before we got back on the bus going in and out of shops!

Day 132 ~ Piano & Snow!

Tonight was my sister's winter piano recitle! She played Silver Bells and carol of the Bells.... she did really great :)

Also.... it SNOWED today!!!  ok so only for about an hour, but it was the first actual snow, besides a flurry, for this year!

Day 131 ~ Have you seen my keys??

So.... after looking everywhere for my mailbox keys... ours is the upper most left corner... I have deducted they are nowhere :(  I have been looking for days after realizing that I didn't know where they are and they arent in any of the obvious places I usually keep them.  But my mailbox feels sad knowing it has to wait to get it's keys replaced and I keep looking regardless of the fact that my efforts feel useless!  And my Grey's Anatomy Netflix is in there and I'm eager to get in there and get it out so I can watch it!

Update.... since this picture was taken.... the mailbox has found it's keys!!!!  In fact they never left it!  Literally!  Someone found them in the key hole and just turned them into the leasing office!  Someone tell me why on earth they didn't think to check for an apartment number before taking them??  So the office had them all this time and just didn't do anything about it since the person said they found them and didn't know whos they were!  And of course it took us a week and a half to determine we couldnt find them and on top of that, even though Nate called about them on a Thursday, they made us wait til Monday to "deal" with it!  After losing many brain cells, I am relieved that they have been found and yet wondering where my brain was when I left them IN the mailbox!  I can't wait to have my own without keys!

Day 130 ~ Advent Calendar :)

I didn't have a picture for today so I thought I would take the opportunity to take a picture of our advent calendar.... we used to get these when I was little every year but we havn't gotten one in years!  So when Nate said he wanted one, I kept my eyes open and found them at the craft store!
