Day 156 ~ It's about time! Crabs are random creatures!

Another one of my crabs changed shells last night :)

Harrold likes to hide under the water dish for days at a time... so the only time I ever see him is during the day when I don't want to disturb him and then by night he's back under the water dish!

Last night he was out and walking around so I got him out and played with him and as I was doing that I re-arranged some of the shells and asked them why they hadn't changed into any yet! :)  Guess Harrold wanted to make me happy!  I cam out around 3 A.M to go to the bathroom and I almost always check the crabs to make sure they're ok, and there was Harrold's shell empty, and he was in this one next to it! I thanked him for putting me at ease that he wasn't going to croak in that little blue shell of his!

I think hermits are most random because while I was nervous that none besides Shelby had changed, and that was many months ago, I acknowledged that it still seemed like Harrold and Sylvia were pretty small and maybe they didn't need to change yet!  It still seemed like they had plenty of room. And just as I'm thinking all this, Harrold changes.  Random!  Now I have to start the hunt for more shells!

Day 155 ~ January 2nd.... Back on Track

I thumb promised Nate  we would get back to fixing our Lego Taj Mahal tonight!  And we did!  We finished the big dome in the middle while watching Tuck Everlasting. After we were finished we were debating what year the movie came out... I said 2002, he said 1999 which I knew was way too early.  Then it occured to me, with me and my ticket stub saving ways, that I had the ticket stub at could confirm when it came out!  Check this out... Nate laughed at me for it too.... after 8 plus years of saving ticket stubs....

I'll make Nate turn it right side up later ;) But it says 2002! Crazy, huh?! I'm almost positive I went to see that with My friend Alex... it was with her that I started my ticket saving :)

Day 154 ~ The start of an Age (1-1-11!!!)

As the last day of the old year passed along, I couldn't help but get some of the lyric's to one of Taylor Swift's newest songs stuck in my head.  Though her song "Long Live" may be about her time as a super star and all it took to get there, it also speaks to me as I live life and all it's taken to get where I am and what it will take to get where we're going.  "Long Live the walls we crashed though I had the time of my life... with you!" and "Long, long live all the mountains we moved, I had the time of my life fighting dragons with you"  It all pretty much sums up how I feel about this picture right here...

I've been friends with Lyndsay probably since I was 11 of my own doing, and since long before that of our parents doing!  All the new year's we've celebrated together, we always get a picture before the night is over to be the first picture of the new year!  As I stated in my previous post, she's leaving for the Navy on the 12th and after bootcamp, a year and a half at the Linguistics school in California.  Who knows where she'll be for the next new year's celebration!  We've been through many a great life adventures together and I wish her all the best in her next one!

These are some of our other New Year's pictures :)

Day 153 ~ Time may change me, but you can't change time...

Here we are! Last day of 2010! I realized this year changes a lot in my life and the lives of the people I know. So much has changed and will be changing! I celebrated the new year with my longest standing friendship with Lyndsay as I usually do every year, and what a friendship it has been!  On the 12th of January, she leaves for Navy bootcamp and though that obviously doesn't mean she's gone forever, the scenes of my life change once more as my only friend left from my highschool and even younger days ventures off into the exciting unknown!  In preparation for her leaving, I have made sure to learn as much about knitting from her as I can and even made it to finishing a project before the start of 2011 :)  We made it through to the end of Season 4 of Stargate Atlantis and only have one season left to attempt to fit in before she leaves!

Finished knitting project :)

Playing Canasta at the new years party... it's what we do :)

Lyndsay, me, and Lyndsay's college roommate Lauren!

My husband... looking very handsome and laughing at me because I said he looked handsome and tried to take his picture :)

Goodbye 2010... and thank you for all you've given me!

Day 152 ~ All Together Now

Tonight was a wonderful night!  My college roommate Nicole, had all of us roommates and our now husbands over to her house for dinner!  We haven't all been together at the same place since Christmas 2006!  We ate dinner, talked and cought up, and then played Apples to Apples! The last time we were all together, I think I was the only one who was engaged yet... I can't believe how everything has changed in 4 years and as Giselle's husband Dan pointed out, it was a short 4 years because its seems like just yesterday we were all together at school!

Day 151 ~ Roses to help ease the thorns....

So I didn't update my pictures yesterday.  I've been pretty relax about when I post them as long as I try to get the post "titled" on the actual day and the picture actually really did come from that day.  Well yesterday attacked me big time.  I had a cold starting this past Friday... it wasn't all that bad, just watery eyes and stuffy nose but I could mostly breathe.  Yesterday, I couldn't breathe through my nose at all which anyone who knows me knows that I hate more than anything.  Then, around noon I got up from doing something at the computer and noticed my back hurt.I didn't really think anything of it until the evening when I could barely straighten or walk easily without being in pain.  It got worse thoughout the night and I was just having a miserable time of it.  So Nate went out to get more dayquil and tissues, and brought me home these :)
The vase their in is really a serving pitcher from a town in Washington state where Nate's extended family lives... it was his mom's present for me for Christmas :)

Day 150 ~ 17? or 7?

Today was David's birthday, so before Lyndsay came over for ourweekly Stargate Atlantis and knitting, Nate and I went over for Chinese food and cake. David was his typical self for the camera :)

That's Jackie by the way, David's girlfriend :)
