Day 254 ~ Kateri makes her bed....

More than I do!

She's been doing this for quite some time, when she's tired she just makes herself a bed in random places, often complete with blankets and pillow and a toy.  This is what she did today... and her hand is over a new ZhuZhu she got for her birthday... the first one now makes noise, but no longer moves!

Day 253 (Monday, April 11th) ~ A day of Random Happenings...

Paul let his bird out of its cage and after looking for it forever it finally flew out of nowhere on to the windowsil!

Then later on he comes running inside insisting that I come out so he can show me something... he was all excited to show me these saying that they had been closed the day before!  We also watched the temperature rise all day.... it got up to 90 by the end of my time there!

Day 252 ~ English muffin pizzas

We used the left over jalapenos from last nights nachos at the theatre to spice up our english muffin pizzas!  I must say they were the best I've ever put together, though I only try them every now and then since they can be hit or miss with how they turn out as far as being like pizza!

Day 251 ~ going the distance...

Today we went on a Volks March with Nate's parents.... and I completed my first 10k! That's about 6.2 miles with lots of hills!  The other 2 I've done have both been 5k ones.  I was very proud, yet feeling dead by the end. We came home and slept before heading back out with them to go to Bengie's drive in theatre for their triple feature of Rango, Source Code, and True Grit (didn't care for that one too much!)  Crazy exhausting day!

Day 250 ~ A New Relationship...

With my hair care products :)  I never thought I would seriously have a shampoo and conditioner that I swore by, but I've found one!  I used this and loved it, and then tried something else and was miserable!  Only a few days back into using this (the revalation happened this morning!), after suffering through the other stuff, and I know I will never ever use anything different ever again!

Day 249 ~ Happy Birthday Kateri!

It still feels like just yesterday that she was just walking and I bought her the princess bouncy ball and she could barely kick it but loved trying!  Now she runs all over the place and is talking and gets amazingly smarter every day, and can even put her little hair in a cute little sticking up pony tail now!  We had Mandy and John's today as per usual Thursday... the boys (Lucas and Paul) and I made her a cake and a birthday crown and had a mini party!

I had left over bubbles from Lauren and Joe's wedding and she was at my apartment once and was thrilled by them... so I knew what this year's present would be!  She was so insistant that I blow her bubbles all afternoon and was excited to show her mom her present when we got back... only to insist that she keep the bubbles coming!!

Day 248 ~ Just like Jessa

Today had one of those monets where you know you have a good deal of influence on a child! Kateri and I like to put on the country music channel and dance on most days. I grew up singing with my hair brush and bed knobs and anything else that resembled a microphone, and I guess I've done it a few times with their remotes and handed her one to copy me. Today we put on the music and she got all excited like she usually does and out of no where she grabs the one remote and hands it to me and says "Jessa sing" and then grabs another one and says "Me sing" She is constantly blowing me away with how smart she is, because I know it's been quite a while since I've done that on my own!
